The eVscope 2 is an automated telescope that’s incredibly easy to use, requiring no prior astronomy knowledge. It enables you to start capturing images with assisted viewing, all while being compact, lightweight, and controllable from a smartphone or tablet. The package includes an electronic eyepiece from Nikon.

This telescope represents a significant advancement in GoTo telescope technology, incorporating state-of-the-art features to deliver one of the fastest and smartest GoTo systems ever developed.

The telescope gathers faint light from distant galaxies and nebulae using a high-sensitivity low-light sensor, refining the image through exclusive image processing technology. The enhanced image is then projected through a modern OLED display, combining the benefits of computer-assisted telescope control with enhanced image quality for classic observation.

The eVscope 2 features a 114mm diameter telescope on a motorized dual-axis altazimuth mount, configured in a “Newtonian” setup with a digital camera replacing the secondary mirror. The camera captures images (using the ultra-sensitive IMX347 sensor) that are transferred to an onboard computer and then streamed to your tablet or smartphone via an algorithm. A standout feature of the eVscope 2 is the electronic eyepiece, developed by Nikon, combining a cutting-edge micro OLED display designed for improved contrast and perfect black images with a sophisticated lens system from Nikon’s expert optical labs. This new “eyepiece” delivers captivating and immersive views with rich contrast, enhanced viewing comfort, and reduced eye strain.

Maximum magnitude: up to 16 in approximately 1 minute, from a medium-quality sky, up to 18 in a dark mountain sky with a few minutes of exposure.
