Rules and Regulations for Booking with Astronomy Tours

  1. Types of Events

Regular Events

Family Astronomy Night:

  • Includes astronomical observation, use of telescopes, bonfire, dinner, and drinks.

  • Special dietary needs can be accommodated with prior notice.

  • Optional overnight stay in a glamping pod or yurt with breakfast available.

  • Check-in for guests with overnight stay is not permitted before the start of the tour.

  • Check-out time is between 10:00 and 11:00 AM the following day.

  • Capacity: 70 participants.

  • Languages spoken: English, Spanish, Polish.

Adults-Only Astronomy Night:

  • Adults-only version of the astronomy night.

  • Special dietary needs can be accommodated with prior notice.

  • Check-in for overnight guests is not permitted before the start of the tour.

  • Check-out time is between 10:00 and 11:00 AM the following day.

  • Capacity: 70 participants.

  • Languages spoken: English, Spanish, Polish.

  • All other services remain the same.

Special Events

Holiday-Themed Events:

  • Easter or Christmas astronomy nights with limited focus on astronomy.

  • Capacity varies depending on the event.

  • Special dietary needs can be accommodated with prior notice.

  • Full Moon Party, Children’s Day, etc., with higher capacity (up to 100 people).

  • Lower entry price; food and drinks not included and purchased separately.

  • Check-in for overnight guests is not permitted before the start of the tour.

Special Astronomical Occasions:

  • Dedicated to events like the Perseid Meteor Shower with regular observations.

Private Events:

  1. Booking Process

  • Bookings can be made online via www.astronomy.tours.

  • Bookings can also be made via message or email, but online booking is recommended.

  • Partners like Viator or GetYourGuide can also be used.

  1. Payment and Cancellation Policies

Payments All payments are securely processed via Stripe (credit/debit card).

🌕 Regular Events (Astronomy Experience)

  • Full refund (minus operational fee) if cancelled at least 7 days in advance.

  • 50% refund (minus operational fee) if cancelled between 48 hours and 7 days before the event.

  • No refund if cancelled less than 48 hours before the event.

🌌 Overnight Stay / Night at the Finca

  • Full refund (minus operational fee) if cancelled at least 7 days in advance.

  • No refund if cancelled less than 7 days in advance.

Note: This policy applies only to the overnight stay. Astronomy event follows the regular event policy.

✨ Special Events (e.g., Solstice Nights, Collaborations)

  • Full refund (minus operational fee) if cancelled at least 14 days in advance.

  • No refund if cancelled less than 14 days in advance.

🏩 Events Financed by Third Parties (e.g., Foundation-cofinanced events)

  • Non-refundable under any circumstances.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or Messenger.

  • Operational fee covers administrative and transaction costs and is non-refundable.

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Astronomical Shop
1. Shop Overview

The Astronomy Tours Shop is an online platform operated by the Astronomy and Science Centre Foundation. Our shop specializes in telescopes, binoculars, microscopes, astronomy-related books, gadgets, jewelry, and clothing. We offer delivery services across Europe via courier or the option for customers to pick up their orders at our location in Finca Astronomica, Campo de Cartagena, Spain.

2. Order and Delivery

  • Orders can be placed online through our website.
  • For products in stock, delivery will be made promptly after payment confirmation.
  • Some products, especially optical equipment, may require 2-3 weeks for delivery as they are imported directly from producers in France, Italy, etc.

3. Payment and Refunds

  • We accept payments through the Stripe system using credit or debit cards.
  • Refunds are only applicable for products damaged during transit. To qualify for a refund, the product must remain unopened and unused. The customer is responsible for covering the transport costs associated with returns.
  • Refunds are not applicable for change of mind due to the import costs incurred by the Foundation.

4. Customer Service

  • Customers who purchase a telescope are entitled to a free telescope training session at Finca Astronomica.
  • Online assistance is available for all customers.

5. Safety and Data Security

  • Our website is secure (HTTPS) and utilizes a safe payment system.
  • Personal information provided by customers is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties.

6. Additional Information

  • We do not have operating hours since our shop operates online.
  • The Foundation reserves the right to update prices and product availability on the website.
